P Day Excursion

This is our favorite P Day picture. We haven't had a P day for awhile because Elder Steenhoek is always moving Elders and Sisters to more desirable flats or closing down flats because we have 10 less missionaries than we had before.
Isn't he an Angel.

37 Lady Bower Place

We took everything out of our flat and closed it down because there will only be one set of missionaries assigned to Moreton Ward from now on. It was a fantastic place to begin our mission.

Elder and Sister Runyan

The Runyans were our expert mentors. We took their place. They worked very hard to teach us our new assignments. Elder Steenhoek and I brought them a three course dinner in the mission office on January 6th. That was actually their last day in the office. Everyone in the office ate and told stories about each other. It was delightful. They are back home in Denver now and we miss them dearly.

Elder Luke's farewell dinner

On January 15th we had a farewell party for Elder Luke. His mission would be finished on the 19th and he would return to Norway and his family. He was such an inspiring missionary.
We will truly miss him and his wonderful spirit.

Elder Sutherland's Birthday Dinner

We gave Elder Sutherland a birthday party dinner on December 29th. He has worked hard in Moreton.

Christmas Dinner

Our beautiful Christmas Dinner at Kathie's home. It was a day to remember.

Naphnatali of Egypt

I think I spelled it wrong but it's the middle of the night and I'm not motivated to check the spelling.
The member wife of one of our investigators did this in needlepoint. It took her 5 years. It is exquisite. It is huge. The picture does not do it justice.

Our Special Dutch Friends

This is Marinus, who is 86, and Muriel, who is 84, den Heyer. They were so good to us. We will always love them. Elder Steenhoek did 76 family group sheets and 74 pedigree charts for Marinus and I made them a scrapbook of all their pictures.

Our little convert Natalia

I had to try one more time to see if I could get Tally upright. The third time was the charm.

Our Bishop in Moreton and his family

Bishop Dore and his family are wonderful people and very supportive of missionary work. We will miss them.

District Farewell Luncheon

Our last luncheon for the Elders in our District before we moved. Of course we served Elder Steenhoek's Roast and Scalloped Potatoes.
